Dr. Leon Shingledecker is a Podiatrist and Wound Care Specialist, from the Pittsburgh, PA area.
He graduated from Clarion University with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He attended graduate school at Illinois State University with studies in developmental biology, electron microscopy, and radiation biology. He attended podiatric medical school at Temple University, and carried out his postgraduate residency at Moss Rehabilitation Hospital and Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. He was appointed as Assistant Professor of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the Des Moines University of Health Sciences in Des Moines, IA, and later served as Podiatric Residency Director at Des Moines General Hospital.
He is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Member of Louisiana Podiatric Medical Society Board Certified by the American Professional Wound Care Association. Member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine His special interests are in reconstructive foot surgery, wound care, and sports medicine.
